ApatheticThe sun feels horrifically lazy  I feel especially dull  Disapointment hangs onto me like mollasses  The choices are endless  And the easiest is indecision  Im bored of spending long days alone  Maybe they'd be shorter  If I had more friends  Less acquaintances  If I didnt eat breakfast lunch and dinner  Alone  And yes they give me flowers  But they always walk back to their own worlds  My heart is sinking  The hammer is falling  What else can my mind withstand?  How much more can I berate myself?  I know that I choose this  But I still hate the sun &nbs Apathetic

My mothers handsI have the hands of a fifty year old  I have the hands of my mother  Of worry and defeat   
My hands tell a story  The story that I pray is a myth  My story   
Institutions. Hospitals. Loss. Denial.  
Pain.  
 
I wear large rings now  
To cover the warts, the cuts,  The telltale signs of lost potential  Dreams cut away by reality and the drink.   
My burns and the dirt too stubborn to wash away  Insist upon labour, endless days and nights  Of scrubbing and pouring  Screaming silently.   
I have the hands of an old woman  Too young to My mothers hands

WOW.

Well, I was really hoping I would get more comments and critique on the poetry, and even the pictures. It seems like noone leaves comments on deviations anymore.

Thats kind of frustration, actually. The reason I put these things on here is to get feedback. And yes, some validation that not all my writing is crap.

Im not sure how to take the silence haha... but really, everyone, Im not that sensitive. Dont be afraid to hurt my feelings because, well, I cant exactly reach through the screen and strangle you, now can I?
